Zaporizhzhia minibus attack kills 3, Russia says

Moscow-installed authorities said a Ukrainian drone hit a minibus in the Russian-occupied part of Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region on Tuesday, killing three people and wounding three others.

Kremlin-appointed official Yevgeny Balitsky said on Telegram that the dead included the driver and that three passengers were wounded.

Balitsky said the bus was travelling near Basan Pologi, a village south of Orikhiv near the front line. Russian forces have been advancing towards Orikhiv for months.

Russia controls the south of the Zaporizhzhia region, one of four Ukrainian regions it claims as its own.

Both Russia and Ukraine have increased strikes in the fifth year of the war. The United Nations has warned of a significant rise in civilian deaths.
