Workday adoption grows in Asia Pacific, ISG says

Organizations across Asia Pacific are moving from separate finance and human capital management systems to connected Workday platforms, Information Services Group said in a 2026 research report.

ISG said employers in the region are seeking unified systems as they deal with skills shortages, varied labour rules and expectations from increasingly digital-native workforces. It said talent pressure is especially acute in Australia and Japan.

The technology research and advisory firm said companies are using Workday to combine human resources, financial management, workforce planning and operational data. ISG said the shift is changing Workday adoption from a technology deployment into a broader business transformation.

Michael Gale, ISG’s partner and regional leader for Asia Pacific, said companies want a shared digital core that can reflect different labour rules, payroll practices and workforce expectations across markets.

The report evaluated 26 providers across transformation services, deployment and integration services, performance and optimization services, and innovation on Workday. ISG named Accenture, Cognizant, Deloitte, Kainos, KPMG, PwC and Strada as leaders in all four categories.
