Uniqlo owner Fast Retailing posts record profit
Fast Retailing, the Japanese owner of Uniqlo, reported a record full-year net profit of 543 billion yen, or $3.43 billion, after stronger sales in North America and Europe.
The company said Thursday that net profit rose 25 percent from a year earlier. It now expects annual net profit of 560 billion yen for the fiscal year ending in August 2027.
Fast Retailing said Uniqlo's international business recorded its best performance in fiscal 2026, with increases in both revenue and profit.
For the first time, combined sales from North America and Europe exceeded those from the Greater China region, the company said. It said those markets had become major drivers of group growth.
