Trump scraps Kansas and Iowa midterm rallies
US President Donald Trump is cancelling two of his last in-person rallies before the November 3 midterm elections, the Republican National Committee said Thursday.
The RNC said planned rallies in Kansas and Iowa would no longer take place as scheduled because Republicans were in a strong position in those states. It said Trump would instead hold a “large number” of virtual telerallies in several states.
Trump’s final election rally is now set to be in Florida on Friday. Republicans are trying to keep control of Congress, and Trump has urged supporters to “pretend I’m on the ballot” to boost turnout.
Asked by a reporter whether he was cancelling a planned Kansas rally because he was tired of travelling, Trump rejected the suggestion and said he felt “perfect.”

The source does not give a specific reason beyond the RNC’s statement for why the Kansas and Iowa in-person rallies were cancelled.
