Tesla-SpaceX merger idea backed by Elon Musk

Elon Musk said Tuesday he would support a merger of Tesla and SpaceX, calling a possible combination “a good idea” during a call with analysts.

Asked about a possible tie-up, Musk said he felt he was “tap dancing through a minefield.”

The comments came as SpaceX reported its first quarterly profit since going public, driven by deals to rent computing power to AI firms.
