Syria says Jordan strike toll rises to eight

Syria said the death toll from Monday's strikes in its south had risen to eight, after Jordan said it targeted “terrorist organisations” following a deadly jihadist attack on a church.

Health officials said hospitals in Daraa province received eight victims, including an elderly man and three children, as well as four wounded people. The new figure raised an earlier toll of five dead.
