Saudi says Houthi drone downed over Medina region

The Saudi-led coalition fighting Yemen's Houthis said Friday that it intercepted and destroyed a Houthi drone over Saudi Arabia's Medina region.

The region is home to Islam's second holiest city. The coalition did not report casualties or damage in the supplied announcement.

Saudi Arabia is fighting in Yemen in support of the country's internationally recognised government.
