Poland school stabbing wounds seven, police say
Polish police said they arrested a 19-year-old man after seven people were wounded in a knife attack at a high school in Ostroleka on Wednesday.
Police said the attack happened at a school in Ostroleka, about 120 kilometres north of Warsaw. They released a blurred photo of the suspect after his arrest.
Ostroleka prosecutor Elzbieta Lukasiewicz said the victims were students and teachers. She told TVN24 that it appeared a boy entered the school and attacked students and teachers with a dangerous tool. Lukasiewicz said the information she had indicated eight people were injured.
The fire department told the PAP news agency the injured included three adults and five teenagers.
