Parse, Nomic announce 100 million-cell AI immune dataset

Parse Biosciences and Nomic Bio said they are partnering to generate Cascade, a planned 100 million-cell multimodal dataset for studying the human immune response.

The companies said the dataset will combine 100 million single-cell RNA-seq profiles with more than 11,000 proteomic secretome profiles. They said it will capture immune-cell responses across more than 150,000 individual and combinatorial cytokine and drug perturbation conditions.

Parse Biosciences, a QIAGEN company, said the single-cell RNA-seq data will be generated in its GigaLab. Nomic Bio said proteomic secretome data will be generated using its Omini 1000 platform.

The companies said GSK, Pfizer, Sanofi, Graph Therapeutics and Turbine have made foundational partner commitments for Cascade.

Uncertainty notes

The announcement does not say when the full dataset will be completed or licensed.
