Nigeria military aircraft crashes with 32 onboard
A Nigerian Air Force aircraft crashed on Monday in southwestern Nigeria's Ondo state with 32 people on board, according to the military and the aviation minister.
Air force spokesman Ehimen Ejodame said the aircraft was on a routine mission from Benin City to Lagos when it went down at Igbokoda in Ondo state.
Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo said preliminary information indicated that 25 passengers and seven crew members were on board. He said the wreckage had been found near a naval base.
Ejodame said search and rescue operations were ongoing with relevant authorities and emergency response agencies.
