Maria Corina Machado questions US-Venezuela oil deal
Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado on Thursday criticised a US-Venezuela oil deal struck earlier this year, calling it opaque.
“This agreement does not reflect the levels of transparency that Venezuelan society wants,” Machado told a press conference.
She was referring to an accord under which Venezuela will hand over 20 percent of its oil reserves to the United States.
