ICC unseals warrants for Taliban education ministers
The International Criminal Court on Monday unsealed two arrest warrants for Afghan education ministers accused of “gender-based persecution” under the Taliban regime.
The warrants name Habibullah Agha, minister of education, and Neda Mohammad Nadeem, minister of higher education.
The court had issued the warrants under seal in September 2025, shortly after warrants were issued for Supreme Taliban Leader Haibatullah Akhundzada and Supreme Court President Abdul Hakim Haqqani.
