Houthi projectile injures six in Najran, Saudi agency says

Saudi Arabia's civil defence agency said a Houthi projectile hit a residential area in Najran on Sunday, injuring six people near the kingdom's border with Yemen.

The agency said civil defence teams responded to the fall of an “enemy projectile” launched by what it called the Houthi militia. It said six citizens were injured and three homes and three vehicles were damaged.

The Iran-backed Houthis have targeted airports and energy infrastructure in Saudi Arabia on a near-daily basis for weeks as fighting between the kingdom and the group has escalated.

Uncertainty notes

The supplied information gives the Saudi civil defence account but does not include a Houthi statement on the Najran incident.
