Guardant Health to present 25 ESMO abstracts

Guardant Health said it and research collaborators will present 25 abstracts, including five rapid oral presentations, at the European Society for Medical Oncology Congress 2026 in Madrid from October 23 to 27.

The company said the presentations cover methylation-based circulating tumor DNA monitoring and liquid biopsy technology across lung, colorectal and gastric cancers. The work includes research on minimal residual disease surveillance, treatment response and resistance.

Among the studies highlighted by Guardant, the FORTITUDE study suggests FGFR2 amplification may identify a subgroup of advanced gastric and gastroesophageal junction cancer patients who are more sensitive to treatment. The PACE-LUNG study evaluates ctDNA-guided treatment intensification in untreated advanced or metastatic EGFR-mutant non-small cell lung cancer.

Guardant also highlighted research from the CROWN study on lorlatinib resistance, a Phase 2 study with MD Anderson on resistance during anti-EGFR rechallenge in metastatic colorectal cancer, and an exploratory NADIM II analysis linking minimal residual disease results with outcomes in resectable Stage III non-small cell lung cancer.

Circulating tumor DNA, or ctDNA, refers to tumor DNA fragments found in blood. Liquid biopsy tests use blood samples rather than tissue samples to look for cancer-related genetic signals.

Uncertainty notes

The presentations were scheduled for future dates at the time of the announcement and had not yet occurred.
Several highlighted findings are described as suggesting, evaluating or exploring potential uses rather than establishing final clinical practice.
