French citizens told to avoid Saudi airports
France's embassy in Saudi Arabia told French nationals on Tuesday to avoid travelling to or transiting through major airports in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam because of the security situation.
The embassy named King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah and King Fahd Airport in Dammam. It also advised French citizens not to travel to Riyadh, Jeddah or Dammam unless necessary.
The warning came after recent attacks on Saudi airports amid the Saudi-led coalition's conflict with Yemen's Houthis.
Uncertainty notes
The embassy statement quoted in the item did not specify how long the advice would remain in place.
