Expo 2030 Riyadh: United States signs contract
The United States has signed a participation contract for Expo 2030 Riyadh, a step that allows planning for its pavilion, programming and visitor experience to move forward, Expo 2030 Riyadh announced.
The contract was signed by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio during a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the 2026 G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia.
Expo 2030 Riyadh said the U.S. presence will be developed on a dedicated plot in the event’s Technology precinct. The expo is scheduled to run from October 1, 2030, to March 31, 2031, under the theme “Foresight for Tomorrow.”
Organisers said more than 185 official participants have confirmed participation. They also said the event is expected to welcome more than 42 million visits over six months.
Uncertainty notes
The material says more than 185 official participants have confirmed participation and separately describes the expo as bringing together 197 official participants; the latter appears to refer to the planned or expected total rather than current confirmed participation.
