Ukraine talks may resume in November, Kremlin says

The Kremlin said Wednesday that Moscow was ready in principle to resume trilateral US-Ukraine-Russia talks in mid-November after Russian President Vladimir Putin met US envoy Steve Witkoff in Russia.

Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said Putin told Witkoff that Russia was ready to restart the talks, with the main topic being security after the conflict ends.

The European Union had earlier said it expected a US debrief after Witkoff's meeting with Putin on a possible Ukraine peace deal. EU spokeswoman Paula Pinho said Witkoff's previous talks in Oslo with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and a top EU official focused on territory, security and post-war prosperity.
