Aramco chief says oil stockpiles are 'scarily thin'
Saudi Aramco chief executive Amin Nasser said Monday that global oil stockpiles are “scarily thin” because of the US-Iran war, warning that the energy system is already under strain.
“The system is already straining,” Nasser told the Energy Intelligence Forum in London. “And with precious little else the world can turn to, the supply resilience cushion is scarily thin.”
His comments came days after G7 nations agreed to release more of their inventories to ease supply concerns.
Uncertainty notes
No stockpile figures were supplied.
Nasser's assessment of the level of global oil stockpiles is a stated warning, not an independently established measurement in the supplied material.
