Witkoff, Kushner expected in Kyiv Sunday: official
US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are expected in Kyiv on Sunday, a senior Ukrainian official told AFP.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Thursday that he expected envoys of US President Donald Trump to visit Kyiv in the coming days as efforts continued to end Russia's invasion.
“We expect to see the envoys of the President of America here in Kyiv. We have confirmation from them,” Zelensky said in his nightly address.
Zelensky said the envoys would have meetings in Moscow and Kyiv. Witkoff and Kushner have been involved in shuttle diplomacy between Russia and Ukraine and have travelled to Moscow several times.
Zelensky said tentative dates had been set for what would be their first visit to Kyiv.

The envoys have travelled to Moscow multiple times but have never been to Kyiv.
Zelensky said tentative dates have been set for their first visit to Kyiv.
Zelensky said in July he had spoken with Witkoff and Kushner to reinvigorate diplomacy.
