Zara owner Inditex first-half profit rises to €3bn
Zara owner Inditex reported profit of €3 billion ($3.5 billion) for February to July, up 6.8% from the same period in 2025, as sales rose across its brands.
The Spanish fashion group said first-half sales increased 7.6% year on year to €19.8 billion. It said its spring and summer collections were well received and that sales showed satisfactory development in stores and online.
Inditex said all its brands, including Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius and Oysho, recorded higher takings. Chief executive Oscar Garcia Maceiras described the results as excellent and said they were achieved in a highly complex global environment.
The company operates in 215 markets and faces pressure from fast-fashion online retailers such as Shein, whose growth has challenged established apparel groups.
