West Bank settlement challenge rejected by Israeli court
The Jerusalem District Court on Tuesday rejected a motion by rights groups seeking to halt development of a settlement east of Jerusalem in the occupied West Bank.
The court said it had dismissed the motion, which aimed to stall publication of tenders for the settlement project.
Israel's construction and housing ministry opened a tender last month for more than 1,200 housing units. Rights groups then filed motions against it.
