Kyiv attack kills at least two after US talks: Ukraine
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga said Tuesday that Russia launched a major missile and drone attack on Kyiv shortly after US peace envoys visited the capitals of both countries to try to restart talks on ending the war.
Sybiga said on social media that Russian President Vladimir Putin launched what he called a “massive, horrific attack” that damaged residential areas and killed at least two people.
“His ballistic missiles speak louder than his words on diplomacy,” Sybiga said.
The US envoys had visited both capitals over the weekend as part of efforts to restart stalled negotiations on ending the war.
