Swiss neutrality proposal set to fail, institute says
Swiss voters appeared set to reject a referendum proposal to tighten the country's neutrality, according to a projection by the gfs.bern political institute on Sunday.
“The trend is to No,” the institute said on X after polling stations closed.
The proposal would have strengthened Switzerland's armed neutrality in the constitution. It was backed by the hard-right SVP party, the country's biggest party.
