Saudi Arabia issues, lifts danger alert near Yemen border

Saudi Arabia's civil defence agency briefly issued a danger alert in Najran Province on Tuesday, warning people in the southern region near Yemen to remain indoors and avoid open areas.

The agency said the National Early Warning Platform had issued the warning to alert people to a potential danger. The alert was lifted a short while later.

The warning was the first alert since the Houthis launched an attack on Riyadh over the weekend.
