Queen Margrethe leaves hospital after four days
Denmark's former sovereign Queen Margrethe left hospital on Thursday after four days of treatment for a haematoma and dehydration, the Royal House of Denmark said.
“Her Majesty Queen Margrethe was discharged from Rigshospitalet late this morning and is now back at Fredensborg Palace,” the royal house said.
The royal house said the 86-year-old was in good condition but had to take things easy for a while.
It was the third time Margrethe had been hospitalised this year. She abdicated in January 2024 after a 52-year reign, passing the throne to her eldest son, Frederik.
