Netanyahu UN speech met by envoy walkout

Dozens of envoys walked out of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech at the United Nations on Thursday in protest against him.

Delegates jeered and booed, while members of Netanyahu's team stood and applauded. The speaker of the session called for order.

"If there are any other moral cowards who haven't left this hall, please do so now," Netanyahu said.

The hall had been sparsely filled earlier in the session but gradually filled before Netanyahu's speech. The Palestinian delegation had called in a memo for other missions to join its protest.
