Nestle to sell supplements unit to Yellow Wood for $1bn
Nestle said it will sell its mainstream vitamins, minerals and supplements business to US private equity firm Yellow Wood Partners for $1 billion.
The Swiss food group said the deal covers its consumer-focused vitamins, minerals and supplements activities. It said the transaction would let it focus resources on areas where it has the “strongest competitive advantage”.
Nestle said the sale is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to be completed by the first half of 2027.
The business generated $1.2 billion in sales in 2025, according to Nestle. It operates mainly in the United States and is also present in countries including Canada and China.
Nestle said it remained well positioned in the premium segment of the category, while the mainstream business required dedicated ownership.
