Huawei unveils Watch GT 7 and new devices in Munich

Huawei said Thursday it had unveiled a new group of consumer devices at its “Chase the Wild” product launch event in Munich, including smartwatches, a tablet, smartphones and wireless earbuds.

The company said the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series would come in GT 7 and GT 7 Pro versions, with new sports features including wrist-based turn detection, G-force detection, indoor snow sports mode and outdoor ski mapping covering more than 3,000 resorts worldwide. Huawei said AI-powered cycling insights are not yet available in Europe.

Huawei also announced the European return of the HUAWEI WATCH 6 Series and said the HUAWEI WATCH D3, a wrist-based blood pressure monitor, had secured European CE-MDR medical certification.

For tablets, Huawei introduced the MatePad Pro 12-inch, which it described as 4.7 millimetres thin and weighing 454 grams, with a flexible OLED PaperMatte display and AI-assisted speech-to-text and handwriting tools.

The company also announced the FreeBuds Neo Series audio devices and the nova 16s smartphone series. Huawei said its Health Glance and Health Insights features are not intended for medical diagnosis or treatment.
