Call My Agent returns as film with Clooney cameo

French comedy series "Call My Agent" has returned as a feature-length film on Netflix, with cameos from George Clooney and Eva Longoria.

The original series, titled "Dix pour cent" in French, ran for four seasons from 2015. It followed talent agents at a Paris agency managing real French celebrities playing versions of themselves. The show won an Emmy and inspired adaptations in other countries.

The new film, released on Netflix on Thursday, reunites the same characters years after their agency goes bust. They come together to help Andrea Martell, the agent-turned-director played by Camille Cottin, make her first film.

The Guardian called it a rare television-to-film spin-off that works, while Variety described it as fast-talking and packed with French entertainment industry jokes and celebrity cameos.

Longoria told French television in 2024 that it was her favourite show and that she and her husband had acquired the rights to adapt it for Mexico and Latin America. Other offshoots include "Call My Agent: Bollywood" and a new series produced by Brad Pitt's Plan B about sports agents.
