Angelina Jolie visits boxing club in Kharkiv

Angelina Jolie visited a boxing club in Kharkiv during a trip to Ukraine, the Boxing Federation of Ukraine and the club's owner Pavlo Chyshko said Monday.

The federation posted a photo showing Jolie and her son Knox at the Spadkoyemets boxing club. It said Knox held a Muay Thai training session with Ukrainian defenders.

Chyshko said he had received a gym booking for Sunday and did not know Jolie would arrive. In an Instagram video, he said the visit was not a joke or AI and that Jolie praised the gym.

Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, lies close to the Russian border and has faced frequent attacks during Russia's full-scale invasion. Jolie previously served as a UN special envoy for refugees and had visited Ukraine at least twice since 2022.
