AfD says Saxony-Anhalt majority talks have begun

Ulrich Siegmund, the far-right AfD's lead candidate in Saxony-Anhalt, said Monday that his party had started talks on building a governing majority after winning by far the most votes in Sunday's state election.

Siegmund said the AfD was reaching out to other parliamentary groups or individual lawmakers who wanted to join it in what he called a “historic task”. He said the talks “have already been initiated”.
