Trump Media sells early access to Trump's Truth Social posts
Trump Media & Technology Group said it has signed more than 10 customer agreements for a product that gives paying clients early access to US President Donald Trump's Truth Social posts, while reporting a $238.1 million second-quarter loss.
Interim CEO Kevin McGurn said in a company press release that the Truth API product was already generating revenue. The company did not identify the customers.
Trump Media announced last month that customers could pay for early access to Trump's social media posts. Axios has reported that monthly subscription rates for the service run from $60,000 to $100,000.
The parent company of Truth Social said the second-quarter loss covered the period ending June 30. It reported a $20 million loss in the same quarter a year earlier.
Trump Media said the shortfall was largely due to declines in non-cash assets, including more than $190 million in losses from digital assets, digital assets pledged and equity securities. Revenue was $1.7 million, up 89 percent from the same period last year.
The company also said it was well positioned to complete its proposed merger with nuclear-fusion company TAE Technologies in 2026.
