Syria courthouse grenade blast kills two, SANA says

A hand grenade explosion killed two people on Friday in front of the courthouse in Hassakeh, in northeast Syria, state news agency SANA reported.

SANA quoted a security source as saying the blast killed a man and a 13-year-old child, citing health authorities.

The Hassakeh region was held by Kurdish forces before coming under central government control in February after an agreement to integrate Kurdish institutions into the Damascus government.
