Netanyahu condemns West Bank settler violence
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned what he called “criminal acts of violence” in the occupied West Bank villages of Qusra and Jalud on Saturday, in remarks AFP described as a rare criticism of Jewish settlers.
Netanyahu said in a statement that the acts were committed by “a handful of rioters” who were violating the law. He said they were harming the law-abiding Jewish community, interfering with the Israeli military in carrying out its missions and damaging Israel's standing in the world.
