Li Qiang visits Tibet mudslide area, Xinhua says
Chinese state news agency Xinhua said Premier Li Qiang arrived on Thursday in Gyirong Town, Gyirong County, Tibet, to guide emergency rescue and relief work after a mudslide on the China-Nepal border.
Xinhua said Li was leading officials from relevant departments and would visit rescue workers and affected people. Search efforts were underway for more than 500 people missing in the disaster area, according to the report.
