Pakistan says attack on one ally means attack on all
Pakistan said Friday it had signed a defence pact with Turkey and Saudi Arabia under which an armed attack on any one of the three countries would be regarded as an attack on all of them.
Pakistan's foreign ministry said the agreement was signed in Saudi Arabia by the three nations' leaders and was intended to strengthen “collective deterrence against any act of aggression”.
The statement gave an official Pakistani account of the collective-defence element of the three-way agreement after Saudi broadcaster Al Arabiya said Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan had signed the pact.
