Saudi state media reported that a vessel belonging to a Saudi company was hit while transiting the Red Sea.

The Houthis had threatened to blockade Saudi ports on the Red Sea after claiming strikes on tankers in the waterway.

The United States said it had reached a civilian nuclear cooperation deal with Saudi Arabia, with the US Energy Department saying the agreements include a legal basis for a long-term partnership and nuclear nonproliferation safeguards.

Kuwait's army said its air defences were responding to hostile drone threats after several days of Iranian strikes on Kuwait.

Iranian state media reported early Thursday Tehran time that Ramshir and Ahvaz were under missile attack by the United States.

Authorities in Bushehr province reported an attack there by a US missile.
