Jordan says it intercepted Iranian missiles and drones

Jordan's military said it intercepted seven missiles and six drones launched by Iran on Friday.

Jordan said air defence systems and air force planes carried out the interceptions.

Jordan's military said the interceptions caused no casualties or material damage.

An AFP journalist in Bahrain reported an explosion and warning sirens, though any link to the claimed attacks was unclear.

Bahrain said it intercepted and destroyed a number of Iranian aerial aggressions and accused Tehran of targeting civilians.

The source says there was no US confirmation of targeting of US facilities or personnel.
