Trump says US has ‘more ammunition than it could ever use’ after Iran war concerns
US President Donald Trump dismissed concerns on Monday that American ammunition stockpiles were running low after five months of bombing Iran, saying the United States had more munitions than it could use.
Asked aboard Air Force One whether he was concerned about supplies being depleted, Trump said: “We have a lot of ammunition. We have a lot of the mid-level stuff too, more than we could ever use no matter what.”
His comments followed remarks by US Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz denying reports that the military was rationing munitions because of supply concerns.
Waltz told Fox News Sunday that the United States remained prepared for further military action and had moved additional assets into the region.
Asked by NBC News about reports of rationing, he said the military had “everything that it needs to conduct this campaign as effectively as it needs to be”.
Before the recent pause in fighting, the US military had announced strikes on Iran for 13 consecutive nights.
Waltz said Trump was giving negotiations with Iran “some space” after two days without announced US strikes.

Saudi Arabia launched strikes on Yemen's Houthi-held Hodeida after Houthi attacks on Red Sea shipping and a declared maritime blockade of Saudi Arabia.
Iran's military said it targeted US military assets in Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait in retaliation for recent US strikes.
Iran's Revolutionary Guards said they targeted an Amazon data center in Bahrain, though Amazon and Bahrain had not commented and there was no US confirmation of attacks on facilities or personnel.
Bahrain's interior ministry said sirens sounded early Saturday and urged people to remain calm and go to safe places.
