Kuwait says air defences are intercepting Iranian missiles and drones

Kuwaiti air defence batteries opened fire on incoming missiles and drones.

Kuwait's general staff said in a social media message that air defences were intercepting hostile missile and drone attacks.

The general staff described the attacks as following what it called wrongful Iranian aggression.

Kuwait's military said it was intercepting hostile drone threats overnight, without naming the target.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards claimed attacks in Kuwait on Ali Al Salem base, Camp Udairi and a telecommunications tower.

Iran's army said it targeted Camp Doha, Ali Al Salem and Camp Arifjan, according to state TV.

Iranian state media reported US strikes in Ramshir, Ahvaz and in Bushehr province.

The US military had not confirmed coming under attack at the time of the report.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards said their aerospace force launched a new attack on US bases in Jordan.

The Revolutionary Guards claimed deaths and injuries from a strike on housing for US forces and said two US military helicopters were severely damaged.

The Revolutionary Guards said missiles and drones targeted an F-15 preparation hangar and a drone preparation hangar at the King Faisal and Prince Hassan air bases.

The Iranian claims could not be independently verified.
